Our brief one-night stay left a lasting impression, largely thanks to superb hosts Jean-Claude and Annette, whose hospitality was commendable. The guest rooms provide a tranquil atmosphere with stunning views of the salt marshes. Each room is well-appointed, featuring essential amenities such as a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and complimentary tea and coffee facilities. The only minor inconvenience was the absence of air conditioning, which might be considered during warmer months. Dining at La Balade is a highlight; the gastronomic offerings combine organic local produce and seafood. We enjoyed a delightful pizza party, showcasing the hosts' culinary skills without straining our budget-only 35 EUR per person for an inclusive dinner. The property boasts a garden area, a sauna, and terrace, providing ample opportunities for relaxation. With complimentary Wi-Fi and free parking, La Balade des Marais represents an excellent value for anyone seeking a culturally immersive getaway. Highly recommended for those balancing luxury and cost.
